What?! I know. Cassie is now engaged to the man of her dreams, Mr. Chad Thornton. Who would’ve thought only a few weeks after I took her senior photos, I’d be shooting her engagement session as well!
Needless to say, I am thrilled for this couple. They are perfect together. A ying-yang thing goin’ on. Seriously too cute.
So what’s their story? Well, they knew each other in high school, but didn’t really talk. It wasn’t until a few years ago that their younger sisters were on the same cross country team that they actually began to be friends. Cassie’s mom coached the team, Chad helped with coaching and low and behold, Cassie helped too. They began to talk, be friends on Facebook, and even go running together. Those runs were actually their first dates. How cute is that? Running dates! So this September it will be 2 years since they first started running/dating. But this August will mark the beginning of their lives together as husband and wife!
Meet Cassie. She’s a Communications major at Biola University and is just about the sweetest girl you will ever meet! Not only is she adorable, she has a true heart of gold. When I asked her what was the most influential event she experienced as an undergrad, she said,”…transferring from Baylor to Biola. Baylor is a top-tier university that is incredibly reputable, whereas not many people have heard of Biola. Transferring took an incredible leap of “blind” faith and complete trust in God. I learned that where God guides, He provides. God provided me with an incredible time at Biola and I know that He will always provide and bless when I follow His voice.” Told you she has a heart of gold. When I asked her why she chose Communications, Cassie said, “learning how to communicate with people is the single most important skill that anyone can possess.” —Well put! I couldn’t have said it better even if I tried!
Not only is this pretty lady about to reach an incredible milestone in her life, she also has big dreams! ? She wants to major in Communication Studies or Theology in grad school, and perhaps one day be a communications professor and specialist. As for other dreams, she wants to “love on as many people as possible… and either adopt kids or open an orphanage one day .” Heart of gold you guys…heart of gold!
Her boyfriend Chad was there too and jumped in for a couple of photos…
A little excitement shot since they are BOTH graduating this Spring!
How cute are they?
I’m pleased to present to you, my son! Who knew newborn photo shoots could be so fun? Especially when the newborn is yours! I’m very excited for this new chapter of life, and cannot wait to add the art of capturing babies to my photography experience. Here’s to many more photo shoots of this tiny miracle!
Steve, Melissa, and Alyson…what can I say? I love this family! So much in fact, I photograph them every year right before the holidays! It’s been so amazing to see how much Alyson has grown these past few years, from a toddler to a mini person who loves stuffed animals, not dolls, she will make sure you get that right. And the love that Melissa and Steve have for one another is so prominent, it makes photographing them so easy because together, they are the perfect mix of comfortable and hilarious! Thanks for another fabulous photo shoot Bayers, can’t wait ’til next year!
